Mr. Zein Abdalla

Board Member

Mr. Zein Abdalla is a member of the Board of Kuwait Food Company (Americana) KSCC (the Company) and has been a member of its Nomination & Remuneration Committee since June 2017.

Mr. Zein Abdalla was the President of PepsiCo Inc., a leading global food, snack, and beverage company, from 2012 through to his retirement in December 2014, prior to which he served as the CEO of PepsiCo Europe. In his (19) years at the company, Mr. Zein held several senior executive positions across a wide range of diverse businesses and led a number of large-scale acquisitions and transformations for the corporation.

Prior to joining PepsiCo, he spent (16) years with Mars Inc., starting as an engineer and progressing across multiple functions before becoming the General Manager of the Middle East and North Africa business.

His executive experience with large-scale, global companies has given him expertise in corporate management, general management, developed and emerging markets, supply chain, procurement, global brand management, innovation, and global strategy.

Mr. Zein Abdalla is the Chairman of the Board of the Mastercard Foundation, one of the world’s largest foundations, and the Chairman of its Audit and Risk Committee. Also, he is a Board member at Cognizant, a US publicly listed information technology services and consulting company, the Chairman of its Governance and Sustainability Committee, and a member of its Compensation and Human Capital Committee. He is a Board adviser to “Mars, Incorporated”, a global pet care, the Chairman of its Nomination and Governance Committee, and a member of its Remuneration and Talent Committee. He is also a member of the advisory board of the Imperial College Business School.

He previously served on the Board of Directors of TJX Companies Inc., an apparel and home fashion retailer, from 2012 to 2022.

Mr. Zein Abdalla holds a degree in electrical engineering from Imperial College, London University, in the UK.
