In this version, peeled fava beans are gently simmered and then sautéed with garlic, fresh tomatoes, green bell peppers, and sometimes onions, creating a fresh, colorful mixture. It’s typically seasoned with cumin, lemon juice, salt, and olive oil, resulting in a zesty, aromatic flavor. Served warm or at room temperature with pita bread, it's a beloved street food and breakfast staple that's both hearty and refreshing.
